When organized activities for adults are offered at FBC Keller, the need for quality care for children arises. To meet this need, we have a wonderful staff of child care workers, headed by Kris Mangold, Child Care Supervisor, and Cindy Bradberry, Assistant Supervisor. Reporting to the Director of Preschool Ministry, these two ladies guide a force of more than twenty workers whose labor of love provides godly, respectful care for our children. All workers have gone through our screening and application process. All workers have given testimony to their own walk with Christ through interviews with both the Child Care Supervisor and the Director of Preschool Ministry. Workers attend mandatory training each year, and each worker is paid a competitive wage.
Child care is provided when the church provides organized large-group activities on Wednesday nights and Sunday nights. Child care is provided on Social Nights throughout the year (Friday nights when adult Sunday School classes are invited to engage in social activities) and for Tuesday morning and Thursday morning Bible studies. Other church-wide special events often require our child care staff to work, so in order to protect, and not overuse, our workers, some church events do not receive child care support.
