On the Sundays leading up to Promotion Sunday (usually late August), the Pre-K Sunday School classes will have a series of special lessons about worship services at FBC Keller. Children will learn about hymn books, the schedule of worship, choirs, key people to watch for, group prayer, and church etiquette, and much more. The activities are hands on and very child-centered, making it fun for children, and creating an infectious anticipation for the new experience of worshipping together with adults in ‘big church’.
On the Thursday night before Promotion Sunday, new kindergarteners and their parents will be invited to a “Welcome to Worship” celebration where a special activity bag will be given to the children. Children will get some last minute instructions from our Music Ministers and from our Pastor. We’ll have refreshments and fun activities for all.
