Ministry Assistant - Student Ministry

Ministry Area: Student Ministry
Supervisor: Minister to High School Students and Minister to Middle School Students

Function: The Ministry Assistant is to assist both Ministers to Students in the development, implementation and administration of the youth ministries of the church.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Reception in the Student Ministry office including answering phone calls and greeting and assisting people; collecting and posting payments as well as making deposits for activities and special events; translating the weekly attendance sheets for inreach and outreach purposes; assimilating guest cards from Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights for outreach purposes; assisting with publishing a weekly Student Impact newsletter and a monthly parent newsletter; copying and laminating resources for youth ministries; placing orders for all resources and supplies as needed; filling any clerical needs such as mailing labels, postcards, and mail outs.

Custodian

Part-Time, 30 hours per week; possibly becoming full-time

Function: The custodian is responsible to the Building Supervisor, Church Business Administrator, and the church to assist in providing a safe, clean, and efficient facility for the membership of First Baptist Church of Keller.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: cleaning and setting up rooms; having a general knowledge of the equipment required for cleaning and sanitizing the facilities such as vaccuming, sweeping, and mopping; the custodian is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, climb a ladder a minimum of 6’, and use repetitive motions; may frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds of materials, etc; ability to read handwritten or typed material; able to work cooperatively with the staff, membership, and visitors of First Baptist Church.

Other Responsibilities: Enforcing and maintaining all policies and procedures of the church; be a contributing member of the staff by fostering cooperation, teamwork, respect, trust and dependability within the church staff; be a contributing member of the staff by faithfully radiating energy, friendliness, righteousness, fellowship and stewardship in promoting the Lord’s work at First Baptist Church Keller; be a contributing member of the church, endorsing and supporting the Church’s Purpose statement, the Church’s Constitution and Bylaws, and the Statement of Faith as it appears in the church constitution.
