Instrumental Music Ministry

We have an exciting instrumental music ministry here at FBC Keller.  With opportunities ranging from full orchestra, instrumental ensembles, handbells, and even a jazz band, there is a place for you to participate.  If you are interested in finding more information about our instrumental music ministry, please contact or David Toledo at (817) 431-2545.


FBC Orchestra

Our Sanctuary Orchestra is one of the most dynamic parts of our Music Ministry.  The orchestra, under the direction of Laura Vickers, is made up of players from high school through adult.  Our orchestra participates weekly in our worship services, presents seasonal concerts of its own, and accompanies our Sanctuary Choir in major programs such as our Christmas program and Guest Composer concert.

Small Instrumental Ensembles

 In addition to our FBC Orchestra, we have several smaller instrumental ensembles made up of members of our orchestra.  These groups perform throughout the year and hold specific rehearsal schedules.  For information concerning any of these ensembles, please contact Laura Vickers or Mark Arnold.

Our small ensembles include:

  • Horn Choir
  • Wind Ensemble
  • Flute Choir
  • String Ensemble


FBC Orchestra Scholarship

The Worship and Creative Arts Ministry of FBC Keller is pleased to announce that beginning with the 2007-2008 it will offer service scholarships to students who play in the FBC Orchestra.

The criteria for these service scholarships are as follows:

  1. Must be an active member of FBC Keller
  2. Must attend at least 75% of all FBC Orchestra rehearsals
  3. Must play in 75% of all performances/worship services
  4. Must be in grades 9-12

All scholarships will be awared upon High School graduation in the amount of $250 per year of active service.  Any student interested in more information or to audition for this instrumental ensemble should contact David Toledo or Laura Vickers.
