Why join a church?

Church membership is a vital part of every believer's spiritual life.  By joining a church, you identify yourself with a local body of believers and commit to be an active member of that body. Each of our members are uniquely gifted by God and have a place of ministry within the church body.

Once you join a church, you become one part of an interconnected body of believers in which you can find support, encouragement, training, and purpose for your spiritual life.  You will find opportunities for service, accountability, evangelism, and ministry as you become more active within a local church.

We would like to invite you to consider making First Baptist Church Keller your church home.

How do I join?

There are three ways a person may join First Baptist Church Keller:

  1. By Believer's Baptism by Immersion: an act of obedience when a person receives Jesus Christ as Savior.  It sympolizes the believer's faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior.
  2. By Letter: transfer of letter from another church of like faith and order.
  3. By Statement of Faith: whenever a person is coming to our church from a church that teaches salvation by grace alone and also practices believer's baptism.

Regardless of your church background, we encourage you to speak to one of our ministers about your decision so that we can answer any questions you might have about church membership.  Our primary goal is not to grow a large church, rather it is to continue to help one more person find their place of fulfillment and ministry within a local body of believers.
