Psalms – Rhythms of Thinking and Feeling
Each Sunday at 9:45 a.m., our Bible study classes meet on campus and via Zoom. Reach out to our office to learn how you can join us.
Download this week's devotionalPsalm 148:14 says, “He has lifted up a horn for his people, Praise for all his godly ones.” In our continued look at some of the psalms that contain statements concerning the Messiah (Messianic Psalms), we see the Messiah described in this concluding psalm as a horn. This “horn” provides the ultimate motivation for praise to the Lord. In order to understand this allusion to the Messiah, it is important to understand the story that is told throughout the Psalms which is the promise of the coming King who will reign victoriously over Israel.
The psalms explore how the people of God renew their trust in God as their King. They possess a renewed hope that God will bring about His kingdom through a future messianic King through the line of David but not fulfilled in David.
